Yossi Arnheim is Principal Flutist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches flute at the Rubin Academy of Music & Dance in Jerusalem.

He is a frequent soloist with the Israel Philharmonic and other orchestras in Israel, and has performed as soloist and recitalist in the USA, Canada, Brazil, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and the Ukraine.

Mr. Arnheim is an active chamber musician in diverse settings, and has played chamber music concerts with renowned artists such as Lynn Harell, Tabea Zimmermann, Jeno Jando and Steven Kovacevich.
His broad musical horizons include Middle Eastern and Arabic music. In 1997, he founded Sheshbesh, an ensemble comprised of Arab and Jewish musicians, which performs music from the Middle East in a classical format.
In addition, he  performs  Asian music, such as Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Georgian, and  Israeli music,  with harpist Julia Sverdlov in their “East Wind Duo”.
Mr. Arnheim's recordings for numerous CD labels also feature a variety of styles. In addition, he has made many recordings for the Israel Broadcasting Authority. In 1993, Mr. Arnheim’s CD of Telemann Sonatas for Flute and Harpsichord won the British Music Retailers Association Prize.
