30 years in the profession have seen Brian play with amost all the Orchestras in London's busy Musical Life, both modern and Period Instrument Orchestras as well as extensive commercial work and chamber groups.
Teaching can mean working in schools, but also, as in Brian's case, the Master-class situation and orchestral coaching sessions.
As a soloist, Brian has appeared with Orchestra of St.John's Smith Square, London, English Sinfonia, Arion Orchestra, and has appeared in Festivals such as Norwich and Chelmsford, with Conductors Sir Charles Groves and Sir Edward Downes.
Chamber work is not just the prestige events like the recent Ambache Chamber Ensemble "Only Connect" series (St. John's Smith Square, London, March'99) and the recently produced record of Louise Farrenc Nonet and Sextet, but the Hospices, the Residential Homes and the Homes for Mentally and Physically Disabled (with the English Sinfonia and OSJ) where Brian makes a point of introducing the music and speaking to the audiences.
In Public Speaking, he was invited to be a founder member of the Professional Speakers Association (linked to the highly prestigious National Speakers Association in the USA), and has directed workshops in Speaking Skills, How to run "Speechcraft" Courses, EvaluationTechniques, How to run Committees. He has also been Judge, Chairman and Organiser of Public Speaking Contests.
He has also published several Articles for musical publications including The Musician, Music Teacher magazine, and Double Reed News, one of which is featured on the London Athenians Speakers Club web-site.
