Leticia was born in 1985 in Madrid. She started her music education at the early age of 3 in both violin and piano with the Suzuki Method offering her first recitals at the age of 5 . In 1996 she became a student of the legendary musical pedagogue Zakhar Bron in the prestigious Reina Sofia Music School of Madrid and the Hochschule für Musik Köln sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and Juventudes Musicales of Madrid.
Most recently she became (February 2003) a student of prof. Maxim Vengerov in Saarbrucken.
Leticia has extensive expertise in concerts and festivals. She participated in 1998`s EBU Festival in Vienna, in 1999's Festival of Besançon, where she played for the French TV, in the Tivoli Festival of Italy and in Saint Petersburg`s 2001 Musical Olympus, Segovia`s festival Juan de Borbón and Santander Festival. She has played concerts with orchestra in the Hermitage Theatre with the of St. Petersburg , in the Rudolfino Theatre of Prague , with Mexico's State Symphonic Orchestra, with Sinfonia Varsovia in Spain's most important symphony halls,the Auditorio Nacional of Madrid and Teatro Monumental with the RTVE orchestra. These concerts have been later broadcasted on TV. She has also played with Palermo´s Symphony Orchestra and Czec TV Orchestra. These performances where under the batons of Pedro Halffter, Enrique Bátiz, Saulius Sondeckis, Peter Csaba, Charles Olivieri Munroe, Ondrey Kukal, Álvaro Albiach, Alexander Sladskovski, Luis Aguirre, Carles Coll, Marco Zambelli, Salvador Mas and Krzystoff Penderecki.
She has also offered recitals in Bayreuth Opernhaus, La Redoute of Bonn and Madrid`s Auditorio Nacional de Música, the latter as part of the Rising Generation series. In recognition of being one of the most promising musicians of her generation Leticia was chosen to close, with a recital, the award ceremony in which Daniel Barenboim received the highest musical award from the Spanish government. This ceremony was also broadcasted on TV. Most recently she had a most successful tournée with Kristoff Penderecki conducting Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra. The great success has led to further invitations in prestigious festivals like Beethoven`s in Krakow.
Her upcoming program includes concerts in Germany, Spain, Russia, Chicago, Vienna, Liechtenstein.
Special Awards
Leticia plays in a violin by Pietro Guarneri, Mantua c. 1679, from the Stradivari Society of Chicago. The Stradivari Society of Chicago has taken a special interest in promoting her career and have organized auditions with the President of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Director of the Ravinia Festival and live performances in the Classical Radio of Chicago.
