Angela Amato graduated with top marks under the guidance of Professor Antonio Autieri , she than accomplished her Post Graduate Degree at "Accademia Internazionale Pescarese "under Professor Beatrice Antonioni.She continued her advanced Post-Graduate Studies, in Switzerland and UK , with Tibor Varga,Yfrah Neaman(O.B.E.), Zineida Gilels,Lydia Mordkovitch and Emanuel Hurwitz (C.B.E.).In 1995 she was appointed Permanent Staff at the Watford School of Music in London where she worked as a Violin Tutor.She has been assistant at the Summer Chamber Music Courses at the Harrow Public School and YMC in London.
She gained a place at the Post Graduate Course in Music Teaching at the Institute of Education London University, acquiring further expertise in teaching. She speaks four languages fluently, Italian, French, English, Spanish and knows some German. She has won numerous National and International Prizes including "Amici Di Castel St. Angelo, Rome " , " Francesco Cilea International Chamber Music Competition".In september 2003 she was awarded the ARTECNO scholarship as the best instrumental candidate.Her professional concerts engagements have included recitals and solo appearences in the most prestigious national and international festivals.She has been member of the Baroque Ensemble "Pieta' dei Turchini" where under the baton of Mˇ. Florio she has given numerouse concerts featuring the Baroque Neapolitan repertoire.She also collaborated with Roberto de Simone.She gave numerour concerts in Honour of Princess Margaret, the Queen Mother and Duchess of York. She has performed in the most renowned concert halls in UK such as Barbican Hall, Purcell Room, Kenwood Park , Bourgue House, Holy Trinity Church, Harrow Public School Hall, Watford Festival, Guildhall School of Music Hall, SouthWark Festival, American Hall, Festival Tibor Varga in Switzerland, Festival de Romance in France, Festival de Estoril in Portugal, Festival di Gaia in Portugal, Mozarteum Salzburg, Palazzo D'Avalos Napoli, Palazzo Barberini Rome, Castel St. Angelo Rome, Sala Ressi Rimini,Chiesa Antonio Vivaldi Venezia, Teatro Verdi Gorizia, Teatro di Raggio Calabria, Teatro Bellini Napoli, Teatro Mercadante Napoli, Teatro Augusteo Napoli,Teatro Capitol Salerno, Teatro di Caserta, Villa Pignatelli Napoli, Auditorium Rai Domenico Scarlatti, Auditorium Rai di Roma, Festival delle Ville Pompeiane, Giugno Barocco, Festival delle Panatenee, Associazione MEDIA AETAS, Festival Internazionale di Amalfi, etc. She is an expert of modern and contemporary music gaining much success with the interpretation of the Bernard van Dieren Violin Solo Sonata, the first performance of Eiluned Davies' Folk Songs for violin and piano accompanied by the British composer-pianist and the first performance of serbian-composer's works, Radich.Other performances have included works of Bellisario, Manzoni and Palermo.
Ms Amato has been well appreciated for Bach's Violin Concertos performance at Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort in London where she played and conducted the Orchestra, Vivaldi Double Concerto with Emanuel Hurwitz ( C.B.E.) with the YMC Orchestra, Mozart Concerto in G Mag. with the "Amati Ensemble" and the "Gusella Orchestra" and M. Bruch Violin Concerto with NWLO. Other solo performances have included works of Vivaldi ( four Violins ) and Nardini Concertos. She has been leader of several professional Orchestras in Italy and UK and has collaborated with prestigious artists as Tibor Varga, Gilbert Varga, Mathias Bamert, Donato Renzetti, Renato Piemontese, Igor Oistrach, LatiŤa Honda Rosenberg, Miriam Kramer, Jae Hong Yim, Miriam Contzen, Professor Mateja Marinkovitc, Professor Devorina Gamalova, Professor Michael Schreider, Marina Petrov, Olga Wilson, Alan Brown, Akane Makita, Emi Noda,Vincenzo Palermo, Gisella di Lorenzo, Pino de Vittorio, Daniela del Monaco, Enrico Baiano and many others.She has been member of the Martucci Trio, Morris Quartet and String Celebrations. She is currently collaborating as a Leader of the Barsentum Orchestra and is carrying out research and performances of Italian Music of the 20th Century and Contemporary. She dedicates much of her time also to research 700' Italian Violin repertoire. She has made recordings for Radio and TV Rai, Radio France, BBC, Radio Swisse Romande and recorded two Cds (28ˇand 29ˇ Tibor Varga Festival de Sion, Switzerland ). Ms Amato plays a french violin 1780 Paris-School.
