Aurel Nica was born an January 7th, 1976 in Mangalia, Romania. His first contact with guitar was at the age of ten. It was love at first sight. While he was studying in gymnasium, he joined a musical group from school and took part in concerts and festivals as guitarist.

At the age of 15, during his high-school time, he enrolled in a rock band called "DESTIN". Crazy years, a lot of concerts in his home town. When he was 18 years old, he listened for the first time "Friday night in San Francisco" and "Passion, grace and fire" played by Al di Meola, Paco de Lucia and John McLaughlin He was so impressed! After this, he sold his electric guitar and bought a classical guitar. After high school, he was admitted at the "Andrei Saguna University". He graduated the school of law in 2000, being the first in his class.

 His first album is called " Nylon and Fire ", an extraordinary combination of classical, jazz and  flamenco.
