The career of one of the most promising and talented tenors Rumen Chterionov started rather unexpectedly. While he was preparing for a civil engineer and showing perfect results in this occupation, he suddenly enrolled singing first at Sofia Musical Academy and then with professor Nikolaj Guselev in Rome. He made his debut in Sevila with the Mascagni's opera &endash; Cavalleria rusticana in the part of Turiddu. Then his impetuous career led him to the stages of Berliner Deutchen Oper and to the opera stages in Bordeaux, Lissabon, Bruxselles, Amsterdam, Istambul, Budapest, Moskau, Rom, Parma, Seoul and Sofia.

He regularly takes part in great European festivals as the festivals in Madrid, Barcelona, Plovdiv and Kirn, as well as in BUDAFEST &endash; Summer Opera and Ballet Festival.

Chterionov received remarkable reviews from the media:

"With his magnificent voice, rich in very dark colors, Rumen Chterionov presented himself with the aria with the letter and Nessun dorma from Turandot. He showed to be a formed personality who can shock sometimes."
Corriere adriatico &endash; Italien, 04.05.1998

"With his enchanting voice and with a unusual sense he displayed the aria of the forth action from Toska in another aspect.........Rumen Chterionov's voice is full of sense with the high tones and he sang the entire concert with very beautiful Piano and imperceptible transitions."
Schweinfurter Volkszeitung from 12.01.1998

"When he was a guest for the last time at the Budapest Opera stage, Rumen Chterionov achieved tremendous success in the part of Riccardo in the opera Un Ballo in Maschera from Verdi."
