SUPPORTING YOUNG MUSICIANS

LONDON ARTFEST AIMS

London ArtFest is a Registered Charity with the aim to advance the education of the public in the arts. It is internationally oriented, with 'bridging cultures' ethos, and committed to supporting young musicians. The organisation was established by a group of the distinguished professionals who share a passionate belief in education, music and art as the timeless and universal bridge between cultures.

The London ArtFest Young Musicians Fund awards prizes to the winners of international music competitions and supports gifted young musicians' concerts and recitals. The Fund awards a bursary for a summer school to a selected young musician every year.

The Young Musicians concert series at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, part of the International Festival, are held annually. Educational events include lecture-recitals, workshops and masterclasses.

London ArtFest publishes a bi-annual Newsletter and an annual Festival Brochure. Further plans for the year 2003 include publishing London ArtFest Journal.

Since establishment in the year 2000, the London ArtFest had an exceptionally dynamic development and collaborated with a number of distinguished musicians. London ArtFest supported a number of concerts in the year 2001, including Wigmore Hall Romanian Young Musicians Concert, followed by The Charity Concert and Dinner in association with Eagle Aid Charity at The Middle Temple Hall, presenting 'Westminster Cathedral Boy Choir' and Russian pianist Evguenia Terentieva.
