Radhakrishna was initiated into our priceless treasure- music at the tender age of eight. Got interested in learning two allied streams, vocal and violin. His father is adept in playing harmonium and played a pivotal role in grooming Radhakrishna's musical career. He was awarded first prize in the All India Violin Competition when he was only thirteen. He also received the Government of India senior Scholarship in Music. Chembai S.Ananthamani, Neyveli Vimala Nagarajan, Ramanathapuram M.N.Ganesa Pillai and Violin Wizard M.Chandrasekaran tapped and channelised his potential. Long hours of practice, insatiable thirst to learn, Guru's blessings and God's grace above all made him scale great heights.

After the departure of C.S.Ananthamani, Radhakrishna concentrated on Violin. "Sangita Kalanidhi" M.Chandrasekaran honed his skills. Almost a decades' ssociation with his Guru made him explore the art. Srimushnam Raja Rao the Mrudangam Maestro is my godfather, declares Radhakrishna in a voice choked with emotion. He plays regularly in Radio and Television channels. Has accompanied the reigning monarchs of Carnatic music.

Nestled amidst the verdant canopy of cashew, jack and mango groves, Neyveli has thrown up quite a lot of engineers, medicos and musicians apart from lignite.

Neyveli and Power go together like 'JUNOSWANS' enlightening the multitude with 'light'. A true son of the soil, Radhakrishna bathes the world with his inimitable style of playing violin.

His version of 'nouveau' double neck violin is a recent addition to the world of stringed instruments. It incorporates the techniques of violin, viola, cello and double bass. It showcases that music transcends barriers of time and has a unique, universal appeal. He has disproved the dictum that "east is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet" by his impeccable style where he harmoniously blends the orient and the occident. A trendsetter, he has done India proud by being the first Asian to possess this violin. Let us catch a glimpse of his musical odyssey and swim in the strains of violin.
