When the Sinfonia of London was formed in 1955, its directors felt there was an urgent need for a front-rank symphony orchestra which could devote itself, initially at least, to recording projects. The personnel was chosen from the most famous ensembles of the day. It provided then an orchestra of outstanding virtuosity and efficiency and its success was immediate. The Sinfonia of London credit is now to be seen on over 300 films and a multitude of recordings.

Well-known film composer Bruce Broughton was appointed Musical Director in February 1998, and can be seen recording with the Sinfonia in the photo.

SERVICES including musical research and supervision, sound producing, music copying, booking of studios and equipment, etc..

"The Sinfonia of London achieves consistently the highest standards of sound, performance, and execution. It has never let me down." Bruce Broughton

"The performance was just completely delightful, not just technically, but the feeling in the room, the energy. Everything was first-rate" Alan Silvestri (quoted in 'Music from the Movies magazine)

"I was immediately impressed with the high quality of musicianship from SOL. They are quick and cooperative and managed all the curved balls (googlies) that I've thrown at them." Danny Elfman

'Gramophone' magazine
"The Sinfonia of London gave an explosive performance."
"Broughton's terrific version with the Sinfonia of London....."
