Saulius Urbietis was born in 1962 in Siauliai, Lithuania. At age of 10 years old he began to play music. When he was 16 he made his first violin. In 1980 he graduated secondary school and in 1984 - Siauliai University. Next year went to the Moscow international violin and bow making art studio, which director and teacher was Denis Yarovoy. In 1988 he graduated this art studio. He began to work in G. Rinkevicius symphonic orchestra as violin and bow maker and restorer after return to Lithuania. Next year he went to Poland to Warsaw National Philharmonic where he began to work as violin and bow maker and restorer. In year 1996 he returned to Lithuania where he opened his own workshop.

Violins, violas and cellos he is making only from very good quality old wood from Alpian, Carelian spruce and Alpian, Balcanian and Carpatian maple. Instrument models he is copying and making after old italian makers models. All acoustics and timbre is created by old italian makers methodics. For decoration he uses spirit and oil amber varnishes.

Only old instruments which have problems with acoustics and timbre are restored by him.

Bows he is making only from very good quality pernambuco wood. Stick is making by old french bow makers methodics. Frogs: ebony - silver and gold, horn - silver and gold. Pearl select green and golden fish.

Saulius Urbietis made over 200 string instruments and over 100 bows. Most of all are appreciable violins, bows and small violas.

Viola: 407 mm. It made by Saulius Urbietis in 2000 years. Top made from Alpian spruce, back from Bosnian maple, from two pieces top quality wood. Viola is red - brown colour; very good and nice timbre; very comfortable neck and mensure. Viola made in style by old italians makers. It is professional instrument. Cost: 4,500EUR.

Viola: 418 mm. It made by Saulius Urbietis in 1999 years. Top made from Alpian spruce, back from Karpatian maple; from two pieces very old wood, very flamed. Colour - golden - brown.
