Born in 1983, Aimo Pagin began his piano studies at age 7, with FRANCOISE CLAUSTRE at the "Conservatoire de Musique de Strasbourg", and then with RENA SHERESHEVSKAYA, in Colmar. There he unanimously received a diploma for piano, as well as for chamber music and music theory. In 2001 he is accepted to study at the "Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique" in Geneva, Switzerland, with DOMINIQUE MERLET, ending with the highest distinction, the "Diplôme de soliste".

He enriched his musical activities by taking precious advice from famous teachers and pianists, such as DOMINIQUE MERLET, VLADIMIR FELTSMAN, RADU LUPU, MURRAY PERRAHIA, NOEL LEE, MARIA TIPO, and PASCAL ROGE.

Aimo Pagin won numerous prizes, in 1997 the first prize at the "Concours musical de France", in 1998 the first prize at the "Concours de piano de Besançon".

From then on, he has revealed his talent throughout Europe, giving performances all over the continent, and participating in several prestigious festivals, such as the "Festival Chopin" in Paris, the "Festival Radio-France" in Montpellier, and the "Societa dei concerti" in Milan.

Aside from his solo career, he has an important experience in chamber music, giving recitals at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall New York, and often plays with his mother SILVIA MARCOVICI in numerous European cities, and has performed with her the double concerto of Mendelssohn, with the Bucarest Philarmonic.

In 2004, he is entering the Peabody Institute of Music, in Baltimore, in the class of the legendary pianist LEON FLEISHER. His musical contribution to Peabody was considerable, and has been awarded the Sarah Stulman Zierler Prize.

He has recently performed with the famous cellist Sonia Wieder-Aterthon , at the " Musicales du Lubéron" festival , in the south of France , and participated in "The International Holland Music Sessions".

Aimo Pagin has been, in September 2005, prizewinner of the ENESCU international Piano competition , and gets in december 2006 , the first prize at 11th "Premio Pianistico" International Piano Competition , held in Napoli .
