Rostislav Krimer was born in 1980 in Brest (Belarus). In the age of 5 he started to study piano at the Music School of his native town. After he graduated from it in 1993 he was invited to continue study at the State College by the Academy of Music in Minsk (Belarus). In the year 1997 Rostislav graduated and became a student of Prof. Jussi Siirala at the Sibelius-Academy in Helsinki (Finland). From 1999 he is a master student of Prof. Vassily Lobanov at the Hochschule f?r Musik K?ln (Germany) .

Rostislav Krimer was a finalist at the International Zvetaeva Piano Competition in Belarus in 1994, also winning the award for the Best Interpretation of a Contemporary Composition. In 1996 he won the Third Prize at the International F. Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Poland. In 1998 he was awarded a stipendium for gifted young people by the President of Belarus. In 1999 he won the First Prize at the International N. Rubinstein Piano Competition in Paris. In 2001 Rostislav became a semifinalist at the Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow and was awarded a Morison Bishop Prize. In 2002 he was selected to participate at the International Tchaikovski Competition in Moscow. In 2002 Krimer was awarded ?Entdeckung des Jahres? Prize at the International Malinin Festival. In 2004 Rostislav became a laureate of the Unisa International Piano Competition in Pretoria and received there a special Prize for the best Chopin performance.

Rostislav Krimer has taken part in masterclasses given by Prof. Arie Vardi (Israel), Halina Czerny-Stefanska (Poland), Prof. John O?Conor (Ireland), Prof. Evgeny Malinin (Moscow), Dr.Tadeusz Kerner (Israel), Prof. Victor Merzhanov (Moscow), Prof. Vera Nosina (Moscow), Prof. Victor Tropp (Moscow), Prof. Michael Davidson (Netherlands).

He has performed recitals in Belarus, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Holland, Finland , Japan,. Africa, UK and USA. Among the Halls in which he has played are Beethoven Haus (Bonn, Germany) Sibelius Hall (Lahti, Finland), Mikaeli Hall (Mikkeli, Finland), Big and Chamber Halls of Musiikkikeskus (Kuopio, Finland), Big Hall of Belarusian State Philharmonic (Minsk, Belarus), Big Hall of Sibelius-Academy (Helsinki), Mirabell Schloss (Salzburg), Yamaha Centre (Paris), Saal Cortot (Paris) and others. Rostislav has played with Joensuu Simphonic Orchestra (Finland), Belarusian State Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra among others and the concert tour with Orchestra under the button of Maestro Arnold Katz is planned for the next season.

He regulary plays chamber music in Music Festivals.
