Pianist Michelle Kim is captivating the attention of audiences throughout the United States and abroad for her unique blend of pianistic power, poetry and striking stage presence. Described as "an artist of intense passion and profound sincerity," Ms. Kim has performed solo recitals and with orchestras in Korea, China, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Latin America and throughout the United States, including soloist appearances with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Brevard Music Festival Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the Xiamen Philharmonic, the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra del Teatro Massimo di Catania. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Newark Symphony Hall, the Brevard Music Center Festival, Bargemusic, the John Harms Center, the Teatro Massimo di Catania in Sicily and the Sejong Cultural Center.

Michelle Kim's recent performances included Caramoor, the Bangor Symphony, the Xiamen Philharmonic, the Ridgefield Symphony and recital performances in New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, West Palm Beach, Chicago, China, Korea and Japan. Past season performances also included "Sunday's Live" at LACMA in Los Angeles which was broadcast live on K-Mozart, the Dame Myra Hess Series at the Chicago Cultural Center which was broadcast live on WFMT, the Internationals in West Palm Beach, Festival des Claviers en Poitou, France, the Mozart Festival in Cincinnati, the Roundtop Center for the Arts, Maine and orchestral appearances with the Reading Symphony, the Paducah Symphony, the Lima Symphony, the Staten Island Symphony, the Flagler Symphony, the Brooklyn Symphony, the NJCU Symphony and the Hamilton-Fairfield Orchestra. Michelle Kim gave her critically acclaimed New York debut at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall). Other performance highlights include a benefit concert for the former Prime Minister of South Korea and a televised concert with the Orchestra del Teatro Massimo di Catania in Italy. Ms. Kim's performances have been televised in South Korea, Italy and the United States, and broadcast on radio stations in New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, San Francisco, West Palm Beach, National Public Radio and WQXR. 

Born in Seoul, Korea, Michelle Kim began her musical studies at age four. At age ten, she gave her orchestral debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra which led to her return engagement with the orchestra in a nationally televised concert.  Shortly after, she moved to the U.S to study with John Perry at The Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. She continued her musical studies at The Juilliard School where she earned her Bachelors and Masters of Music and was recipient of the Arthur Rubinstein Award. Ms. Kim has studied with Joseph Kalichstein, Oxana Yablonskaya and Temuri Akhobadze and garnered top prizes in national and international competitions including the Leschetizky Piano Competition, the Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition and the Vincenzo Bellini International Piano Competition. Michelle Kim currently resides in Hong Kong with her husband.
