Phil Cornwell BMus(Hons), PGDip, is a pianist and double-bassist living in Greenwich. He studied Piano accompaniment at Trinity College of Music, where he won the Postgraduate Accompanist Prize, and previously studied piano and double bass at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Phil is an extremely versatile musician, with professional experience ranging from performing concertos in major London venues, to Musical Director of shows, to playing keyboards for Boney M.
Phil teaches piano, singing, bass and cello, and also arranges and composes. He plays regularly with a number of jazz bands, as well as working with songwriters and new music ensembles. He is an extremely accomplished sight-reader, available for concerts, auditions, classes, recordings and functions.
