Marc Verter is currently studying towards his doctorate at City University and working as a staff accompanist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
During the years 1999-2001 Marc studied at the Indiana University School of Music with Leonard Hokanson and received a M.Mus degree in 2001.
He continued his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Graham Johnson and Ronan O'Hora and received a Master of Music degree from the school in 2002.
He has participated over the years in Master Classes given by : Graham Johnson, Malcolm Martineau, Daltin Baldwin, Walter Moore, Edith Wiens, Margo Garret , Rena Sharon ,Robert Hall and Rudolph Jensen .
Marc received scholarships from The America Israel Cultural Foundation from 1989 to 1991. He received an award from The Geoffrey Parsons Memorial Trust for 2004 and the Accompanist prize for the 2004 Patricia Routledge English Song Competition of the Association of English Singers and Speakers. In May 2006 he won the Titanic Accompanist prize at GSMD
He has participated in several summer festivals in Israel, Belgium, Spain,USA, Canada and the U.K. including The Britten-Pears School in Aldeburgh, U.K. and was invited to participate in the Steans Institute for Young Artists - Ravinia Festival (Chicago). In April 2004 Marc was appointed official accompanist for the 2004 Queen Elisabeth competition for singers in Brussels.
As a coach he has worked at the Indiana University Opera Programme and in classes given by Soprano Martina Arroyo. He also worked at the Brevard Centre Opera Company in North Carolina ( USA )under Maestro David Effron.
He has performed in several venues in London and the U.K. including Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, St. John's Smith Square, Sheffield University, Canterbury Festival , Aldeburgh,Birmingham University , Chelsea Schubert Festival, Oxford Lieder Festival and at St.Martin-in-the-fields. He has performed abroad in Palma de Mallorca- Spain,Portugal,Belgium,Holland ,Canada,USA and Israel.
Marc has performed song recitals which were broadcast live on the radio in Jerusalem, Brussels, and recently in Amsterdam.
He has worked with up and coming young singers such as Kate Royal,Claire Booth ,Benedick Nelson ,Katherine Broderick and
Elena Xanthoudakis and from the of summer 2007 with internationally renowned soprano Nelly Miricioiu ..
