He also played several different theme parks in the area such as Silver Dollar City, DogPatch, and Sheppard of the Hills. He also won several state fiddling Championships in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kentucky, and was getting known in the Bluegrass circles.
After loosing to the cold weather every year, he finally moved to the tropics of Florida in 1987. The first Band he found was a very good bluegrass group out of central Florida called the Prospectors. The Prospectors were a very competitive band. They were engaged in some sort of Band Contest every weekend. They would travel all over the country for a fiddle contest or a banjo contest. The contest world became a way of life for Fusiontunes. During his 6-year stint with the prospectors he had won 18 additional State Fiddling Championships in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Fusiontunes music was evolving into something that you couldn't call bluegrass. Soon he left the Prospectors to look for his calling. This is where things started taking a different path. He burned his old fiddle and went out and bought a new 5-string electric violin. Free from microphones and able to be heard among the "electric" instruments, he was able to experiment with all kinds of jazz, funk, rock, and blues bands along the east coast. |
He writes captivating originals combining all styles of music to form a true fusion style of improvisation. His music is explosive with high energy improv's and screaming lead work.
Recently Fusiontunes was financed for a CD project of his original music and began the tremendous task of producing a CD.
Fusiontunes works alone, playing each instrument as needed and is also engineering the CD. He plays many different instruments such as:
