Reflexology, and how it can help you....
Reflexology alleviates the effects of stress by inducing deep relaxation, placing us in a "safe place" and allowing the nervous system to calm down and function more normally. Circulation proceeds smoothly, blood flow is improved and oxygen reaches all cells. We are no longer activated for fight or flight. The body seeks homeostasis and healing can take place. The person experiences a sense of well-being at all levels. Reflexology works with subtle energy flows, revitalising the body so that the natural internal healing mechanisms of the body can do their own work. As a matter of fact, people do attest to better health, even sometimes a marked reduction or even disappearance of the ailment. However, it was neither the reflexologist nor the session that cured. Only the body cures.

This therapy brings relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, all-bronchial conditions, high blood pressure, back problems, to name just a few, and is suitable for all ages. Many, many musicians suffer from all the for said complaints, and many who come to reflexology have found great relief.
When practiced in conjunction with sound medical advice from your physician, and after a stay in hospital reflexology facilitates healing.
What reflexology is not....
Reflexology is not a medical treatment. First and foremost, reflexologists do not diagnose illness, nor do they practice medicine. Only licensed physicians are allowed to do that. Reflexologists should never proceed a session as if it is going to cure.
Laura Lee M.B.S.R., M.A.R., B.C.M.A., L.C.M.(Dip).

Laura Lee has been a qualified reflexologist since 1992 after passing her examinations at the British School of Reflexology.

In the past twenty years reflexology has made a slow but sure impact in the field of alternative therapies, and today proves to be a very safe and effective way of stimulating all functions, organs and other parts of the body by means of pressure to small areas in the feet called "reflex points". These areas are only the size of pinheads, so the accuracy of the therapist in detecting these areas and working on them is of paramount importance. No gadgets are used, only two healing hands which Laura Lee has been trained to work in this very specific, controlled way.
