Folk, Pop and Jazz Band
The Help was formed in 1996 by Pete Brush, Kenny Cifone and Benita Green. Our goal was to create a fun, folky, poppy, jazzy sound.
With Benita on rhythm guitar and vocals, Kenny on trumpet, fluegelhorn and vocals, and Pete on bass and vocals, the Help got started with quirky songs and three-part harmonies. Pete, Kenny and Benita each contribute the the songwriting process, and with the exception of a few old cover songs, all the music is original. The additions of guitarist Mark Caserta and drummer Benny Snyder have brought the Help forward in the last year as one of New York City's most original, provocative and entertaining live acts.
