David Glukh Klezmer Ensemble is one of the most unusual ensembles of it‚s kind. Eclectic by repertoire and design, the group is composed of David Glukh (piccolo trumpet), Ronn Yedidia (accordion), David Keen (violin), Yuval Edoot (percussion), Eddy Khaimovich (bass). Since its creation, the group has performed nationally with great success and glowing reviews. The ensemble performs traditional klezmer music along with special "fusions" between klezmer and other musical traditions of the world. ( Irish, Gypsy, Classical, Latin, Jazz, Georgian, Middle-Eastern, Chinese, Macedonian, Israeli, Tango, Flamenco etc.) Their performances have been broadcasted on WFDU 89.1 FM and Cable Network of Rhode Island. In April 2003 the group has released its first CD, as recorded live in concert in New York City. Ensemble's new CD, "Klezmer Travels The World", recorded in Award -Winning Bennett Studios, is to be released in May 2005.

Member Biographies:
David Glukh- since his graduation from The Juilliard School in May 2000, David Glukh has been leading an active performance schedule as a member of the internationally renown Dallas Brass, performing 70+ concerts a year with this ensemble. In August 2002 he left the group in order to concentrate on his solo appearances and further developing of David Glukh Klezmer Ensemble. Mr.Glukh has performed live television and radio broadcasts on WFDU 89.1 FM, NPR, WQXR, Cable Networks of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Texas and Kol Ha Musica (Israeli Classical Music Radio Station). As a soloist, David has appeared with the Louisville Orchestra, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Jupiter Symphony, Lyric Theater Orchestra, Raanana Symphoniette, IDF Orchestra, Ulianovsk Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Melodia. In 1995, Mr.Glukh received an award from the Israeli Musicians Union for excellence in performance. He was a recipient of the America Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship from 1990-2000. David Glukh was born in Moscow in 1975 where he attended the Gnesin‚s Music School. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel where he spent the following three years in the Thelma Yellin High School for the Arts. He later served in the Army Orchestra from 1993 to 1996.Ronn Yedidia- was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1960. His compositions have galvanized the attention of performing artists worldwide during the last decade. His workshave been featured in major concert halls and documented on film, radio and television. He has won high critical acclaim from leading newspapers around the world, as both composer and pianist. He began his musical career as a child prodigy pianist, winning 1st Prize at the Young Concert Artists' Competition of Israel at the age of eight. His main teacher and mentor was Israel's first lady of the piano, Pnina Salzman, who herself was a protégé of Alfred Cortot. Active as a performer for manyyears, Ronn decided at the age of 15 to shift his attention towards composition. In 1984 he entered the Juilliard School from which he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in composition. Soon after his arrival at Juilliard, he was discovered by Sony Classical's Executive Producer, Thomas Frost, who produced a recording of his fusion works of classical & jazz. In 1985 his Second Piano Sonata was selected for radio exchange between Israel and numerous countries around the world. In 1987 he was presented on Israeli Television as Discovery of the Year in Classical Music, performing his Third Piano Sonata. His compositions have been broadcast on New York radio stations WNYC, WNCN, WFUV, & WQXR, and he has been featured on NBC & WOR television networks. Ronn Yedidia's first Compact Disc Recording entitled Piano was released in March 2001 on the Altarus label.

David Keen- violinist, composer David Keen was born in Framingham, Massacheusetts in 1975 with a broad range of musical interests. From classical music to various ethnic musical traditions to rock groups. David has been an active participant of them all. Playing multiple instruments (violin, viola, bass guitar) with concentration on the violin performance.David has played with the Artemis Ensemble, Staten Island Symphony, the New York Metamorphoses Symphony, the Westfield Symphony, various rock groups. He participated in the project "String Tribute" on the Vitamin label and had his works premiered and recorded by collegues and his group for new music, "Tree." David Keen studied violin at State University at Purchase with Laurie Smukler and Danny Phillips of Orion String Quartet. He also studied contemporary music with Ray DesRoches and composition with Alvin Brehm.

Yuva Edoot- Israeli born percussionist, has performed in variety of genres, from classical to jazz to world music. He has performed with many highly regarded orchestras including Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, under baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta; Jupiter Symphony, conducted by the late Maestro Jens Nygaard. Equally at home in the jazz idiom, Yuval backed up the performances of Diana Krall and Oscar Peterson. Yuval was born in Haifa, Israel in 1975. At the age of 17 Yuval won first prize in a National Competition held by the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation held among all the orchestral instruments. At the age of 18 he joined the Israeli Defense Forces, where he played in the Military Orchestra under the baton of the Israel's legendary conductor Itzhak "Ziko" Gratziani. After completing his national duty, Yuval received a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Yuval has studied with some of the world's best percussionists, drummers and vibraphone players including Jamey Haddad and Dave Samuels.

Eddy Khaimovich- Russian-Israeli bassist Eddy Khaimovich has performed with jazz artists: Hal Galper, Bill Goodwin, Mark Gross, Valery Ponomarev, Jeff Hirshfield, David Schnitter, Bob Meyer, Amy Lawrence. In the classical music field he has played under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur, Arthur Post, Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergijev. His performances have been featured on RTVI International TV channel and Israeli National Broadcast Music Radio Channel „Kol Ha-Musika‰ . Eddy was born in former USSR and emigrated to Israel in 1991. He has studied in Manhattan School of Music and Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music. (Both Classical and Jazz.) Eddy was recipient of America Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship 1995-2002.
