Since an astounding London debut in 1974, his career as pianist and conductor has been world-wide. He has directed the European Community Chamber Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus, guest conducting in France (L'Opera Comique, Paris), the United States, Brazil, South Africa and Greece. In opera, he has conducted the Magic Flute, Trovatore and the Marriage of Figaro with the Greek National Opera. He has directed the Mozart Concertos from the keyboard several times, including at the South Bank. He holds a doctorate in music from City University, London and he was Cyprus' nominee for the 1988 International Music Prize of UNESCO.
