Piotr de Peslin Lachert (Piotr Lachert), composer, pianist, pedagogue, was born in Warsaw, Poland on Sept. 5, 1938, and has been a citizen of Belgium since 1977. He is selftaught and his first compositions were written in 1970. He has been performed in countless festivals and contemporary music concerts.
His compositions have also been performed throughout the world and he has over 70 compositions published by ten different publishers as well as many compositions on several CDs and in the archives of European radio stations. Further works include several compositions for music theatre, for ballet, for films several volumes of piano studies (over 300) and he is the creator of an original computer-assisted composition system called Letter Music
From 1974 to the present he is a member of the Belgian School of new consonant music
