Vasily Kulikov was born in Perm on June 27, 1963 in a komi-permyak family. In 1097 he graduated from musical school ? 8 (instrument - piano). It was his first step in musical carrier. At the same year he entered Perm musical college (specialization - piano and composition).

In the 1983 V. Kulikov entered the Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I. Chaikovsky to study composition at the course of a well-known composer, folk musician, professor of Moscow State Conservatoire, winner of State Prize Russia Roman Semyonovich Ledenyov.

Moreover at the same time he studied two instruments: piano and organ. His piano teacher was a prize-winner of Chopin competition, a meritorious musician of Russia Yury Muravlev, who had in his turn attended the course of a pianist of the world-wide fame G.G. Neuhaus. V. Kulikov's tutor at the faculty of organ was professor - Leonid Roizman.

V. Kulikov graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1988. He is a member of the Union of Composers of Russia. In 1996 he received the President's Grant.

In December 13, 1997 during the diving liturgy in Sviato-Troitsky (St. Trinity) Cathedral of Perm, His Eminence Afanasiy, the Archbishop of Perm and Solikamsk, ordained Vasily Kulikov to the holy orders of deacons and, later to the holy orders of priest in December 21, 1997. At present Father Vasily serves in the Church of Vsekh Sviatykh (Church of all Saints) in Perm of Perm Eparchy, Moscow patriarchate. He is also practicing composer and performer.

Russian Publishing House "Music" has published several Kulikov's compositions. Russian Radio broadcast some of his music. At present Vasily Kulikov gives regular concerts of his music and the music of composers of past ages: I.-S. Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Shubert, Scarlatti, Chopin, List, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Chaikovsky, Scriabin, Sibelius, Prokofieff, Shostakovich, Bartok, etc.

In February 2001 a compact disk with Mr Kulikovs was released. It was published by the Ural electronic plant in the city of Ekaterinburgh. The CD presents musical works for piano, for mezzo-soprano and mixed choir, for mezzo-soprano and chamber orchestra. He both plays and conduct.
