International pianist/composer and multi instrumentalist consisting of keyboards, oboe, oboe d'amore, English horn, Native American flutes and Chinese Bamboo flutes. He is of Greek and Armenian heritage. A native of Canada who was raised in Athens, Greece . Inspired as a child by his mother's shimmering soprano voice, his love for classical music was born.

Hiko has independently released his debut CD, “First Embrace”, a collection of original compositions released on his label Hiko Music. His second CD “The Secret Of My Heart” was released in April of 2001 and most recently “Twilight Dreams” The instrumentation consists of Native American, Indonesian, Asian, pre Columbian and classical flutes, English horn, and keyboards. Hiko is currently under agreement with Real Music in Sausalito, CA for “Touching Beauty” and ”Freedom To Love”. Two beautiful compilations available worldwide. Please look for Hiko’s upcoming CD “Temple of Sakkara” later this year.

As an oboist Hiko has held the positions of principal oboe for the Bel Canto Opera Orchestra, the Ocean State Light Opera Orchestra, the Musica Dolce Chamber Orchestra of Connecticut sub principal oboe for the Eastern Connecticut Symphony and currently subbing for the Bay Atlantic Symphony of New Jersey.

His oboe/English horn instructors have included some of the world’s top players such as Ray Still of the Chicago Symphony, Elaine Douvas of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Bert Lucarelli, Carolyn Hove principal English hornist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and most recent Julie Ann Giacobassi of the San Francisco Symphony.
Contributing to the Community

Hiko considers it important to contribute a spirit of positive energy in the community. Over the years Hiko has donated his time and music to the aid in helping cancer patients journey through their healing and dying process while undergoing treatments; two concerts have been given with choreographed dances for Cancer Survivors Day and National Cancer Day. Hiko has been performing regularly for patients, staff and visitors at The Greater Baltimore Medical Clinic in Baltimore , Maryland .
Hiko's Unique Style of Music

Throughout the years he always seemed to capture an audience wherever he would sit and play a piano, creating melodies effortlessly. From the beginning it was evident that music was an outlet for his feelings a form of expression that he knew would make a difference and touch the lives of others. His compositions are inspired by his mood, his feelings and his love of life.
Fusing New Age with a Classical influence, he produces an ethereal, haunting and heart-warming sound, creating works that are timeless, music that is healing and transforming. He infuses his compositions with deep feelings and emotions of love, beauty and the mystery of the human soul.

His style and expression reminds one of an inventive classically trained pianist. The originality of his melodies and the lyrical flow of his songwriting, coalesce to transport the listener to a peaceful, beautiful place. Fans from around the country and the world are generous in their praise of his works, which seem to inspire deeply personal reactions, memories and feelings for each listener.

Hiko has recently been appointed music director for the newly created Universal Symphony.. He will be in charge of all musical events consisting of live performances/concerts for all seminars, workshops and presentations worldwide. His dedication to his art has brought impressive results. He has signed with A-PRO a Korean record label. His solo CD “First Embrace” has been released in Korea . Hiko's music has been added to a compilation entitled “In My Memory” with the music of such artists as, Enya, Keiko Matsui, Bernward Koch, Brian Crain and more. Hiko is pleased to be signing with a new record company Jingo Records in Taiwan .
