The Manchester-based Trio Fauve consists of Flute, Viola and Harp and is named after the school of French post-Impressionist artists known as the Fauves (literally, wild beasts) whose work was intense, energetic, even crude. This period in French art also coincides with the composition of many works by French composers for flute, harp and strings that form the core of the repertoire for this evocotive
combination of instruments.

All the musicians in Trio Fauve are committed to the early 20th Century masterpieces for this combination as well as exploring the diverse and challenging contemporary repertoire.

We are available for schools workshops, demonstration recitals as well as lunchtime and evening concerts.
