This Cd is the first of an annual series released on the 'Dia de los Muertos' (the day of the dead), and documents over 100 original and rarely heard works for violin and guitar from the 20th century. Their second recording, UNTAMING THE FURY , features recent commissions by emerging American composers Neil Flory, Stacy Garrop, Anthony Joseph Lanman, Kristi McGarity, and Joshua Penman. The Cd will also include performances of works by American composers who have added enormously to our cultural heritage including Fred Kaufman, Steve Mackey, and Steven Funk Pearson.
