Trombonist

Born in Istanbul in 1966, he started studying the
trombone in 1977, at the Istanbul State Conservatory with Mr.Ziya
Polat. He was transferred to the Conservatory of Istanbul
Municipality in 1977, where he studied with M.Doguduyal for one year
and went back to working with Mr.Ziya Polat the following year.
He was accepted to the Orchestra of Istanbul State Opera
and Balet in 1980. He played for the Jazz and Popular Music
Orchestra of the Turkish National Radio and Television Association
from 1984 to 1990.
In 1986 he passed the audition for the Mediterenean Youth
Orchestra and played a number of different pieces with several
conductors in Europe.
Between 1988 and 1990 he performed at several concerts
with the Istanbul Trombone Ensemble, One of the concerts were in
memory of Mr. Ziya Polat.
On his graduation year he has studied .
In 1990 he started working for the State Conservatory of
Istanbul University as a faculty member. In 1997 he performed with
the World-Mix Orchestra, founded by Betin Gunes at the Eskisehir Fair
and at the Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul. The same year,
he has performed pieces by C.M.v.Weber, A.Guilmart and H.Tomasi at
the music convention organized by Sark Insurance Company.
Between 1996 and 2002 he has taught trombone and chamber
music courses at Mimar Sinan University Conservatory. He is
currently a faculty member at the Istanbul University State
Conservatory.
