Leonard Cecil (Bassposaune) geboren in England, ist in den USA aufgewachsen. Studien am Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, University of Calgary (Dirigierdiplom) und bei Eduard H. Tarr an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Posaunen-Lehrdiplom der Musikhochschule der Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel. Er erteilt Dirigierunterricht und leitet in Basel das Blasorchester der Musikschule der Musik-Akademie Basel.

Leonard Cecil (Bass Trombone) was born in England but grew up in the USA. He studied at the College-Conservatory of Cincinnati, the University of Calgary and with Edward H. Tarr at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He also completed a Teaching Diploma for Trombone at the Musikhochschule der Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel. Besides leading the Concert and Big Bands he also teaches conducting and computer courses at the Musik-Akademie Basel.
